Literature Text

Do you see this blood on my finger tip?
Shall I dab this blood upon my slip?
Allow you to advance upon my breast?
Give you my purity without protest?
Hoist my dress above my knee?
Leave imagination nothing, allow you to see?
Shall I let more than blood mingle?
It would make your skin tingle
To feel our separate bodies become single.

Your clever use of blood-thirsty fleas
I find to be an awful tease.
The excitement in your eyes is growing,
A river of passion undoubtedly flowing.
Your gracious offer certainly intrigues me
If only for just a tiny fee.
You see, I will bend to your will,
But I'll have to add it to your bill,
Although, you already have quite the quota to fill.

First, I'll charge for your boldness
And your persistence through my coldness,
Then of course your ill-fitted gaze
Will significantly your bill raise,
And your unsightly blemishes and stubble
Makes your fee nearly double.
Now your eyes are looking quite big,
Maybe you're seeing the hole that you'd dig?
Besides, no woman would want to lay with a man who's got the blood of a flea on his sleeve, you pig.
This is a response to "The Flea" by John Donne that I did for English class. Please read "The Flea" first so that you can understand it.

twas truly great, a poem of choice
a faint of emotion, in a thundering voice
a pig indeed, that much was true
and the pig has its pen, a poem by you.

lol GREAT JOB!!!
